A brief one-juan Sòng exposition of the title-line of Yuánzhào’s (元照, 1048–1116) Zīchí jì 資持記 — Yuánzhào’s principal sub-commentary on Dàoxuān’s (道宣) Sìfēnlǜ shānfán bǔquē xíngshì chāo 四分律刪繁補闕行事鈔 (KR6k0017) — by Dàobiāo 道標 (道標) of Móyúntáng 摩雲堂. Author signature: 摩雲堂佛慧宗師 道標 出 (Set forth by Dàobiāo, master Fóhuì of Móyúntáng).

Abstract
The Lìtí shíyì glosses each phrase of the Zīchí jì’s long title (Sìfēnlǜ Xíngshì chāo Zīchí jì), distinguishing the tōngtí 通題 (general title) from the biémù 別目 (specific designation) and explaining the relation of suǒjiě 所解 (object of explanation) to néngjiě 能解 (means of explanation). The opening passage explicitly cites Dàoxuān’s Jièshū 戒疏 — “Sìfēn is the specific name of one of the five recensions and the general designation of one school” — and notes that more than fifty earlier Xíngshì chāo commentators (wǔshí yú jiā 五十餘家) had already glossed the title in their own ways. Dating: the work must postdate Yuánzhào (post-1116) and falls within the Southern-Sòng range.
