A five-fascicle commentary on KR6n0016 Chéng wéishí lùn by the late-seventh- or eighth-century Cí’ēn commentator 道邑 (Dàoyì). Preserved in the Xuzangjing (X49n0814). The “yìyùn” 義蘊 (“doctrinal substance / interior meaning”) title indicates a substantive doctrinal commentary that goes beyond glossary into systematic exposition of the philosophical implications of T1585.

Abstract
The text is one of several second-tier Cí’ēn commentaries on T1585 that survive only through the Xuzangjing and not the Taishō. Internal evidence suggests Dàoyì draws systematically on 窺基’s KR6n0026 shùjì but apparently not on 智周’s KR6n0032 yǎnmì; the work is therefore conventionally placed in the late seventh or early eighth century, perhaps roughly contemporary with 慧沼. The dating bracket adopted (700–800) reflects this uncertainty.
The commentary is doctrinally orthodox-Cí’ēn but distinguishes itself by spending more time than Kuījī’s shùjì on the yīnmíng 因明 (Buddhist logic / hetuvidyā) implications of the Chéng wéishí lùn arguments — possibly reflecting Dàoyì’s institutional location in a Cí’ēn-affiliated yīnmíng lecture-tradition.
