Xuěyán Zǔqīn chánshī yǔlù 雪巖祖欽禪師語錄

Four-juan late-Southern-Sòng / early-Yuán yǔlù of Xuěyán Zǔqīn 祖欽 雪巖祖欽 (1216 – 1287/88, shì 72+), dharma-heir of 師範 Wújùn Shīfàn (per his own New Year 1285 sermon at age 70) and teacher of Gāofēng Yuánmiào 高峰原妙 — the pivot of the dominant late-Línjì line that continues through Zhōngfēng Míngběn 中峰明本 into YuánMíng Chán. Xuzangjing X70 n1397. Preface by Xìngcún Zhēnyì 性存真逸 (jiā zhī xùn 家之巽) dated Dàdé 2.3 (March–April 1298). Six abbacy records: Tánzhōu Lóngxìng 龍興禪寺, Xiāngxī Dàolín 道林, Chǔzhōu Nánmíng Fórì 南明佛日, Táizhōu Xiānjū Hùshèng 仙居護聖, Húzhōu Guāngxiào 光孝, and Yuánzhōu Yǎngshān 仰山. Plus pǔshuō, jǔgǔ, niāngǔ, sònggǔ, and juan 4 miscellaneous. The preface’s signature formulation captures the line: “Xuěyán can be said to have his nose-tip straight and his eye true. Having Wújùn for father and Gāofēng for son: the father does, the son transmits” — encapsulating the three-generation Wújùn → Xuěyán → Gāofēng transmission that culminates in Zhōngfēng Míngběn.
