About the work
The third of four Dūnhuáng recensions of the Fómǔ jīng — see KR6v0018 for full description. This recension is edited from P. 3919 (BnF) as base, collated against further witnesses from Beijing Library and the British Library. It carries the same head-title as recension b, but exhibits a textually distinct line-by-line tradition.

Recension c is text-critically the richest of the four because it has the largest number of available witnesses for collation; it represents a textually intermediate stage between recension a (the most elaborated) and recension d (the most compressed).
