Nakanishi Iyū 中西惟忠 (Sinicized Zhōngxī Wéizhōng; Shēnsì 深泗, hào Tànzhāi 探齋, 1724–1803, 江戶), Kyoto-based koihō 古醫方 school physician of the late Edo period, a second-generation disciple of Yoshimasu Tōdō 吉益東洞. Principal works: Shānghán zhī yánjiū 傷寒之研究 (KR3ef029, 10 juan, 1789) and a Yào zhēng zhì jí 藥徵績集. Nakanishi exemplifies the koihō school’s clinical pragmatism — rejecting Sòng-period and JīnYuán doctrinal accretions and grounding clinical practice in the prescriptive logic of the Shānghán / Jīnguì canon directly. No CBDB record. Lifedates 1724–1803 from Japanese biographical references.
