Mid-Míng (Hóngzhì / Zhèngdé-era) physician of Yìwū 義烏 (Jīnhuá prefecture, Zhèjiāng); disciple of Yú Tuán 虞摶 (1438 – c. 1517) in the post-Dān-xī Yìwū school. His principal extant work is KR3er126 Xīnkān yīxué jíchéng 新刊醫學集成 (editio princeps Zhèngdé 11 / 1516), one of the principal early-Míng Dān-xī-school general clinical compendia, distinguished by its systematic eightfold biǎolǐ xūshí yīnyáng hánrè organisation of Shānghán patterns — the textual antecedent of the later canonical bāgāng biànzhèng 八綱辨證 doctrine.
