Northern-Wèi-period Sinitic Buddhist monk; lifedates and biographical details unrecorded. Translator-collaborator (等譯 děng-yì) with Ratnamati (勒那摩提) and others in the Northern Wèi imperial translation bureau at Luòyáng in the early sixth century. Co-translated Miào-fǎ liánhuá jīng lùn yōu-pó-tí-shè 妙法蓮華經論優波提舍 (KR6d0127, T1520) — Vasubandhu’s commentary on the Lotus Sūtra (the Saddharma-puṇḍarīka-upadeśa).
Note: the name 僧朗 (“Sangha-Bright”) is common in the Northern-and-Southern Dynasties Buddhist record; this Sēnglǎng is the Bodhiruci-Ratnamati-circle translator-collaborator, distinct from at least four other Sēnglǎng figures in DILA, including the Sānlùn master Sēnglǎng of Shéshān 攝山 (a key transitional figure of the LiángChén Sānlùn revival).
