Zéān 則安 was a Northern Sòng Vinaya monk, gāodì 高弟 (senior disciple) of Dàzhì lǜshī 大智律師 = Yuánzhào 元照 (元照, 1048–1116). His exact lifedates are not recorded; he was active in the late eleventh and early twelfth centuries. Sobriquet Yánxiāng 巖香. His three extant short Vinaya works are preserved in the Manji canon: the Dàzhì lǜshī lǐzàn wén 大智律師禮讚文 (X74n1507), the Jiémó jīng xùjiě 羯磨經序解 (KR6k0159, X41n0729), and the Zīchí jì xùjiě bìng wǔlì jiǎngyì 資持記序解并五例講義 (KR6k0169, X44n0740). All three are short pedagogical works closely keyed to Yuánzhào’s principal Língzhīsì 靈芝寺 corpus, and together they preserve the immediate post-Yuán-zhào Nánshānlǜ teaching tradition.
