Liú Lín 劉麟 (1475–1561; CBDB 34637 gives 1475 — preferred over the catalog meta’s 1474), zì Yuánruì 元瑞, alt. zì Zǐzhèn 子振, late-life hào Tǎnwēng 坦翁, posthumous shì Qīnghuì 清惠, native of Ānrén 安仁 (Jiāngxī); resettled in Chángxīng 長興 (Húzhōu, Zhèjiāng), where his descendants enrolled in the local register. Hóngzhì 9 / bǐngchén (1496) jìnshì; rose to Gōngbù shàngshū. Míngshǐ main biography. As Gōngbù probationer protested with Lù Kūn 陸崑 against the imprisonment of jiànguān; as Shàoxīngfǔ zhīfǔ offended Liú Jǐn 劉瑾 and was removed; as shàngshū opposed SūSōng zhīzào (SūSōng silk-tribute) and was forced out. Retired to Chángxīng to live with his marriage-relative Wú Chōng 吳珫; consorted with Sūn Yīyuán (孫一元) and Wén Zhēngmíng 文徵明; the famous Shénlóu tú 神樓圖 by Wén Zhēngmíng was painted for him.
