Lǚ Xiàqīng 呂夏卿
Zì Jìnshū 縉叔. Native of Quánzhōu 泉州 (Fújiàn). Jìnshì of Qìnglì 2 (1042). Active mid-Northern Sòng, Qìnglì through Xīníng eras (1040s–1080s).
Held Hànlín shìjiǎng 翰林侍講 and various Hànlín posts in the imperial-academy bureaucracy. As a member of the Xīn Tángshū compilation team led by 歐陽修 and 宋祁, he was the principal compiler of the Zǎixiàng shìxì biǎo 宰相世系表 (KR2a0027 juǎn 71–75) — the great Tang chief-ministerial genealogical table — the largest medieval Chinese genealogical compilation extant in any zhèngshǐ. His work on the Bīng zhì 兵志 (the Xīn Tángshū’s monograph on Tang military institutions) was also substantial, though by the rule of conventional attribution the work is signed under Ōuyáng Xiū’s name.
