Yáo Yuǎn 姚遠 (zì Shènggōng 聖功, fl. early 18th c., Qiántáng 錢塘 / Hangzhou) — author of the second-edition preface to 高世栻 Gāo Shìzōng’s Yīxué zhēnchuán 醫學真傳 (KR3er060), dated Kāngxī gēngyín 康熙庚寅 = 1710. Yáo’s preface contains the autobiographical episode of his having lost a son to incompetent paediatric care and his consequent decision to reprint Gāo’s work as a public service. Not in CBDB.
