Late-Qīng physician of Shānyīn 山陰 (modern Shàoxīng 紹興 in Zhèjiāng), active around the turn of the 20th century. Author of Wēnbìng zhǐnán 溫病指南 (KR3eg007), preface dated Guāngxù guǐmǎo (1903), composed during a long residence in Hénán as a clinical handbook for physicians of the inland provinces still using Shānghán-style therapy on warm disease. His pupil Xiāo Jífǔ 蕭吉甫 assisted in the editorial work. Lóu is doctrinally an heir to the southern wēnbìng line of Wú Jūtōng (KR3eg010) — the Wēnbìng zhǐnán explicitly cites Wú’s sānjiāo differentiation as its framework. No detailed biographical information preserved; CBDB entry 598805 lacks dates. The reading “Shānyīn” is sometimes mistakenly given as “Jiāngsū” in catalog meta — Shānyīn is in fact in Zhèjiāng.
