Zhāng Lún 張掄
Southern-Sòng lay Buddhist, poet, and song-writer (cí 詞 writer), styled Liánshè jūshì 蓮社居士 (“Layman of the Lotus Society”), active in the Chúnxī 淳熙 and Shàoxī 紹熙 eras (1170s–1190s) under Xiàozōng and Guāngzōng. Author of a small but historically important cí corpus (preserved in the Shào’ān lèbiān 紹庵樂編) of songs that were performed at court, and known among Dàhuì-tradition sources as a patron of Chán. Wrote the 1183 (Chúnxī 10.4.15) preface to the Dàhuì Pǔjué chánshī niánpǔ (KR6q0063) compiled by 祖詠 Zǔyǒng — noting therein that the preface was requested through Jìng’ān Huáng Rǔlín 敬菴黃汝霖, whose ancestor had studied in Dàhuì’s room.
