Zhāng Fèngkuí 張鳳逵 (= Zhāng Hèténg 張鶴騰, Yuánhàn 元漢, hào Fèngkuí 鳳逵; ?–1635, 明). Late-Míng official and physician of Yǐngzhōu 潁州 in Fèngyáng prefecture (modern Fùnán 阜南 county, Ānhuī). Younger brother of Zhāng Hèmíng 張鶴鳴 (Tiān-qǐ-era 兵部尚書).

A jǔrén of Wànlì 19 (1591, ranked 6th in the Hénán provincial exam) and a jìnshì of Wànlì 23 (1595). Served as observer at the Court of Judicial Review, then magistrate of Lùchéng 潞城 (Shānxī, 1596) and Yúcì 榆次 (Tàiyuán prefecture, 1597); rose through the Ministries of Justice and Revenue; was 廣西 provincial chief examiner in 1606; later 雲南 Vice Surveillance Commissioner. Resigned for eye disease and retired to Yǐngzhōu. In Chóngzhēn 8 (1635) Lǐ Zìchéng’s army captured Yǐngzhōu; Zhāng was seized and died cursing his captors — biography appended to that of Zhāng Hèmíng in the Míng shǐ 明史.

Skilled in medicine; author of 《傷暑全書》 Shāngshǔ quánshū (2 juǎn, completed Tiānqǐ 3 = 1623) — see KR3eg005 for the later expanded recension with Yè Tiānshì’s annotations. Also wrote 《傷寒全書》 Shānghán quánshū (2 juǎn).

The biographical reconstruction here follows the standard modern accounts (Míng shǐ 明史; Zhōng yī rén wù cí diǎn); birth year is unknown but his 1595 jìnshì implies a birth date in the 1560s–1570s.
