Huìshēng 慧昇, hào Zōngqìng 宗慶. LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Fǎzhù Hǎidòng 海棟 (35th generation Línjì). Lifedates unknown, active late 17th century. One of twelve dharma-heirs of Hǎidòng formally invested with verse-bestowal (liánfāngjì 聯芳偈) — Huìshēng held the office of wéinuó 維那 (“精進首領”) at Pǔfēngsì at the time. Co-compiler of his teacher’s yǔlù KR6q0525 《浦峰法柱棟禪師語錄》 — jí (collation), printed in Jiāxīng Canon J37 B402 in 1691.
There is a separate Qīng-dynasty monk Huìshēng 慧昇 (hào 心耀; DILA A045939), who held the abbacy of an unspecified monastery in Qiánlóng 59 = 1794. Not the same person.
