Fāngzé 方澤 (active late Míng), Buddhist scholar and editor known principally for compiling the [[KR6e0068|Huáyán jīng hé lùn zuǎn yào 華嚴經合論纂要]] (X226, 3 fascicles) — a further abridgement / editorial reorganisation of the Lǐ Tōngxuán Hé lùn tradition. His birth and death dates are not preserved; the work is conventionally dated to the late Míng period, broadly contemporary with 李贄簡 Lǐ Zhuówú’s abridgement. The principal modern study of Fāngzé is in Yoshizu Yoshihide’s Kegon zen no shisōshi-teki kenkyū (1985), which treats him within the broader late-Míng Buddhist-publication context.
