Běn-sōng 本嵩 (active late 11th – early 12th c.), Northern Sòng Buddhist scholar-monk; author of the [[KR6e0102|Zhù huáyán jīng tí fǎ jiè guān-mén sòng 註華嚴經題法界觀門頌]] (T1885), a verse-hymn (sòng 頌) on the title of the Avataṃsaka and the doctrine of the Dharma-realm contemplation. Working under the Northern-Sòng Huì-yīn-sì 慧因寺 Huáyán revival programme that had been established by 淨源 Jìngyuán; his commentator 琮湛 Cóng-zhàn was responsible for the prose annotation accompanying the verse-hymn. Born and death dates are not preserved.
