Lǐ Xuéqín 李學勤 (1933–2019) was one of the most prominent 20th-century historians and palaeographers of early China, long associated with the Zhōngguó Shèhuì Kēxuéyuàn 中國社會科學院 and later Qīnghuá University, where he led the Qīnghuá-jiǎn 清華簡 manuscript editing project. He was a champion of the “走出疑古時代” reorientation of early-China studies. With 張政烺 he concurred (1975) with 馬繼興’s judgement on the medieval status of the reconstructed Fǔxíng jué zàngfǔ yòngyào fǎyào (KR3eh001).
