Liǔ Shǒuyuán 柳守元 (fl. early-to-mid 18th century, Qīng), Daoist spirit-writing master and prolific compiler within the Quánzhēn / Lóngmén 全眞龍門 lineage in the Yōngzhèng / Qiánlóng era. He is the primary editorial voice behind a substantial number of fújī 扶乩-revealed scriptures and exegetical works gathered into the Dào zàng jí yào (1809) — many bearing his self-description “宏教弟子” (“disciple of broadened teaching”) or his planchette-style title 玉樞右宰宏教眞君 (“Pacific-Pivot Right-Minister, Perfected of Broadened Teaching”). Works in the Kanripo corpus carrying his preface, postface, or compilation include KR5i0005 Tài shàng xuán yuán dào dé jīng jiě (commentary by the “Eight-Cavern Patriarchs” edited by Liǔ); the various jiè texts in KR5i0095–0099 (the Liǔshì sān tán dà jiè recension); and several other DZJY revelation scriptures. Liǔ’s oeuvre is the chief vehicle through which the early-Qīng Lóngmén planchette milieu transmitted scriptural production into the print canon. No CBDB record exists; Liǔ was a Daoist priest, not an examination-degree holder, and his lifedates are inferred from internal datings on his prefaces (e.g. those signed 雍正 / Yōngzhèng = 1723–1735).
