Liáng Lán 梁蘭 (1343–1410), zì Tíngxiù 庭秀 (alternate zì Bùyí 不移), hào Qílè 畦樂, native of Tàihé 泰和 (Jiāngxī). Father of Liáng Qián 梁潛 (1366–1418), the Yǒng-lè-era yòu zànshàn 右贊善. Lived in retirement throughout his life and never held office; self-styled Qílè (Garden-Plot-Pleasure). Yīnjiā 姻家 (in-law family) of 楊士奇 Yáng Shìqí 楊士奇 (1366–1444) — Yáng studied verse with him directly. The teacher-pupil relationship Liáng → Yáng is one of the most consequential late-Yuán / early-Míng verse transmissions, since Yáng went on to dominate Yǒnglè–Xuāndé court literary culture. His verse collection KR4e0060 Qílè shījí 畦樂詩集 was compiled and prefaced by Yáng Shìqí in Hóngwǔ 31 (1398), six years before Liáng’s death. The Sìkù editors place Liáng’s verse explicitly in the Táo Yuānmíng / Wéi Yīngwù pastoral-classical lineage. CBDB id 34477: 1343–1410, confirmed.
