Yáng Fù 楊復 (Southern Sòng, fl. early 13th c.; CBDB id 22610 has fl. earliest 1228 — consistent with the autograph preface of the Yílǐ tú dated Shàodìng wùzǐ 紹定戊子 = 1228, although Chén Zhènsūn’s Shūlù jiětí gives a Chúnyòu-era completion date). Zì Màocái 茂才, hào Xìnzhāi 信齋. Native of Fúzhōu 福州 (modern Fúzhōu, Fújiàn). A direct disciple of Zhū Xī 朱熹 (1130–1200) and one of the principal continuators of Zhū’s ritual-classics project. Submitted Zhū Xī’s Yílǐ jīngzhuàn tōngjiě xù 儀禮經傳通解續 to the imperial court via Zhèng Féngchén 鄭逢辰 in his capacity as Jiāngxī tax-transport official.
Author of KR1d0032 Yílǐ tú 儀禮圖 in 17 juan (illustrating the seventeen ceremonial chapters in 205 diagrams) and Yílǐ pángtōng tú 儀禮旁通圖 in 1 juan (cross-cutting diagrams on architecture, ceremonial garments, sacrificial vessels, etc.). The Yílǐ tú project was begun by Yánlíng Zhào Yànsù 嚴陵趙彥肅 with diagrams for the Tèshēng and Shǎoláo chapters; Zhū Xī, on consultation, requested that further chapters be illustrated, and Yáng Fù undertook the comprehensive project after Zhū’s death. The Sìkù tíyào approves Yáng Fù’s diligence but criticises the absence of an integrated shìgōng (architectural-spatial) chapter, which the parallel works of Lǐ Rúguī (KR1d0030, KR1d0031) and Zhū Xī (KR1d0085) had specifically included.
