法敏 Fǎmǐn (“Dharma-acuity”) was a Táng-period or Five-Dynasties Chinese Buddhist monk associated with the commentarial tradition on the [[KR6o0084|Shì Móhēyǎn lùn 釋摩訶衍論]]. He is known only as the author/compiler of the Shì Móhēyǎn lùn shū 釋摩訶衍論疏 (KR6o0086), a two-juǎn prose commentary on the parent treatise. He should be distinguished from at least two earlier Chinese monks of the same name: a Tang Tiāntái master (active c. 580–650) and a Sui-Tang vinaya master (c. 615–660). The Fǎmǐn of KR6o0086 is otherwise unattested in standard biographical sources, and is conventionally placed loosely in the late Tang or Five Dynasties period on the basis of internal vocabulary and the assumption that his work post-dates the Shì Móhēyǎn lùn (itself a late seventh- or eighth-century apocryphon). His work survived only through Japanese manuscript transmission preserved in the Manji-zokuzōkyō 卍續藏經.
