Fǎlì 法立 (DILA Authority A000693) was a Western Jìn 西晉 monk active during the reigns of Hàn Huìdì 惠帝 and Hàn Huáidì 懷帝 (290–311 CE), best known for his collaboration with 法炬 (Fǎjù) on three substantial joint translations registered by the Chū sānzàng jì jí 出三藏記集 and the Lìdài sānbǎo jì 歷代三寶紀: the Fǎjù pìyù jīng 法句譬喻經 (T211, the Dharmapadāvadāna), the Fó shuō zhū-dé fútián jīng 佛說諸德福田經 (T683), and the [[KR6a0023|Dà lóu-tàn jīng 大樓炭經]] (T23, the Lokaprajñapti-sūtra). The biographical sources also report that he and Fǎjù translated upwards of a hundred shorter sūtras, but most of these were lost in the Yǒngjiā 永嘉 (307–313) disorders. He is mentioned briefly in the Gāosēng zhuàn 高僧傳 (T2059) entries on the contemporaries Wéi-zhī-nán 維祇難 and Fǎjì 法濟; his lay surname, native place and exact dates are unrecorded.
