淨影慧遠
Jìngyǐng Huìyuǎn 淨影慧遠 (523–592), the great Dìlùn 地論-school master and one of the most important Buddhist scholars of the Suí imperial period. Resident at the imperial Jìngyǐngsì 淨影寺 (“Pure Reflection Monastery”) in Cháng’ān, whence his epithet. Distinct from the earlier 慧遠 Lúshān Huìyuǎn (334–416). Composed extensive doctrinal works including the Dàchéng yìzhāng 大乘義章 (T1851).
