Wáng Shípéng 王十朋 (1112–1171), zì Guīlíng 龜齡, hào Méixī 梅溪, posthumous title Zhōngwén 忠文; native of Lèqīng 樂清 in Wēnzhōu (modern Zhèjiāng). Famous Southern-Sòng official, poet, and Chūnqiū scholar. Optimus (zhuàngyuán) of Shàoxīng 27 (1157) at age 46. A close associate of Zhāng Jùn 張浚 in the war-party and one of the most outspoken Southern-Sòng critics of Qín Guì. Held senior posts as qiānpàn of Shàoxīng (1163–1166), Prefect of Húzhōu, of Quánzhōu, of Sìzhōu, of Kuízhōu (1167–1168), of Húzhōu again, and as Lóngtúgé xuéshì. Author of the Méixī xiānsheng wénjí 梅溪先生文集 (KR4d0121), the Méixī wáng xiānsheng Chūnqiū xiángshuō 梅溪王先生春秋詳說 (lost), and the Kuàijī sānfù 會稽三賦 (KR2k0113). His Bǎijiā zhùbīn Dù Gōngbù shī jí 百家注分類補注李太白詩集 was a major contribution to Tang-poetry annotation. Biography in Sòngshǐ 387. CBDB id 10598.
