Wáng Shǎng 王賞 (1103–1149), Southern-Sòng court historian and Shílù xiūzhuàn 實錄修撰 (“Veritable-Records Compiler”) of the Shàoxīng 紹興 reign of Sòng Gāozōng 高宗, native of Méizhōu 眉州 (modern Méishān 眉山, Sìchuān). Father of the historian Wáng Chèn 王稱 (see 王稱), to whom he transmitted the family’s accumulated archival materials. CBDB id 1863, recording death year 1149 with first office (FL year) 1103. Mentioned in the Sòngshǐ and the Sìkù tíyào of his son’s Dōngdū shìlüè (KR2d0007); his own writings have not survived as discrete works.
