Shēn Hánguāng 申涵光 (1619–1677), zì Fúmèng 孚孟 (also written 鳧盟), hào Cōngshān 聰山; native of Yǒngnián 永年 (Héběi). Eldest son of the late-Míng martyr 申佳胤 (1603–1644). After his father’s suicide at the Chóngzhēn end-times of 1644 he refused the new dynasty’s calls to office and lived out his life as a yímín in Yǒngnián. Best known as the founder of the early-Qīng Jīfǔ shīpài 畿輔詩派 (‘Northern Metropolitan poetry school’ — i.e. the Hé-běi-based Northern alternative to the dominant WúYuè and Jiāngnán schools); with his younger brothers Hánpàn 涵盼 and Hánfēn 涵盻 (the Yǒngnián Shēn shì sān xiōngdì 永年申氏三兄弟) and his disciples Yǐn Yuè 殷岳, Liú Yīn 劉因 and others, he constituted the dominant Northern poetic circle of the Shùnzhì–Kāngxī transition. His own collected works are the Cōngshānjí xuǎn 聰山集選. He edited his father’s surviving verse into the Shēn Zhōngmǐn shījí 申忠愍詩集 in six juǎn (KR4e0242) and supplied a jiāzhuàn (family biography) of his father, which the Sìkù tiyao quotes.
