Zhēnzhì 真智
Late-seventeenth-century Cáodòng Chán monk, dharma-heir of Yīchū Wùyuán 一初悟元 (second entry) in the Wúqù Rúkōng / Nánmíng / Miàoyòng / Yīchū sub-line. Co-compiler (děng biān 等編) of KR6q0444 《一初元禪師語錄》 (Jiāxīng Canon J29 B234), working with 真開 Zhēnkāi.
Possibly also identifiable with the Zhēnzhì 真智 dharma-grandson of Yuānhú Miàoyòng who re-cut KR6q0416 《鴛湖用禪師語錄》 at Chángshuǐ Tuìān 長水退菴 — “Chángshuǐ Tuìān fǎsūn Zhēnzhì chóng zǐ 長水退菴法孫真智重梓”. If identical, this Zhēnzhì served as multi-generational textual-custodian of the Miàoyòng → Yīchū line.
