Mid-Táng official and calligraphy commentator; zì Zǐquán 子全, elder brother of 竇臮 (Dòu Jì). He served as Shì Guózǐsīyè 試國子司業 concurrently xiànlìng of Tàiyuán 太原縣令, and (according to a self-reference embedded in the annotations to the Shùshū fù) as sīyìláng 司議郎 and Ānnán dūhù 安南都護. Active in the Tiānbǎo and post-rebellion decades (the CBDB florescence range gives 773–782 for activity in the bureaucracy). Author of the annotations on his brother’s KR3h0007 Shùshū fù, which include the Shùshū fù yǔlì 述書賦語例 (terminological apparatus) and supply offices, dates and stylistic notes for the 198 calligraphers named in the fù. The Sìkù editors flagged a self-referential note under his own entry as a possible indication that the annotations may in fact be Jì’s, but retained the traditional attribution on the strength of Zhāng Yànyuǎn’s Fǎshū yàolù.
