Zìxiāng 自相

Mid-ninth-century Silla 新羅 (Korean) Vinaya monk of Dōngquánsì 東泉寺. Named in 允堪 Yǔn Kān’s preface to KR6k0177 Sìfēnlǜ shí píní yìchāo fǔyào jì as one of the two Korean monks (with 玄靈 Xuánlíng of Huìmíngsì) who collated 道宣 Dàoxuān’s Yìchāo in the Silla royal capital and dispatched the copy to Táng China in 850. The episode is a key documentary witness to Silla-Táng Vinaya text-exchange.
