Chǔ Shūdù 褚叔度

Eastern Jìn official, Right Guard General (右衛將軍), who together with 孟顗 Mèng Yǐ (Inner Historian of Wú Commandery) served as principal lay donor (檀越, dānapati) for 佛馱跋陀羅 Buddhabhadra’s 418–420 translation of the 60-fascicle [[KR6e0001|Dà fāngguǎng fó huáyán jīng 大方廣佛華嚴經]] at the Dàochǎngsì 道場寺 in Jiànkāng. His patronage is recorded in the closing colophon of the work. Lifedates unrecorded.
