Xiè Qiáo 謝嶠 (fl. early-to-mid sixth century), a Liáng-period 梁 xiǎoxué scholar known almost exclusively through Lù Démíng 陸德明’s Jīngdiǎn shìwén 經典釋文 as the author of an Ěryǎ yīn 爾雅音 (now lost, reconstructed as KR1j0096 Ěryǎ Xiè-shì yīn). Cited by Lù Démíng in the triplet Gù, Shī, Xiè 顧、施、謝 with 顧野王 Gù Yěwáng and 施乾 Shī Qián, representing the southern Liáng xiǎoxué trio of Ěryǎ phonological commentators. No biography in any standard history; he is sometimes identified speculatively with members of the prominent Chén-jùn Xiè 陳郡謝 lineage of the Liáng court but no evidence ties him to a specific person of that name. The Suí shū jīngjí zhì records his Ěryǎ yīn in two juàn; lost in the Sòng. CBDB has no matching entry.
