Huìgōng Kāixiòng 慧弓開詗 (1634–1676 or 1677), Qīng-dynasty Cáodòng 曹洞宗 monk, disciple of Zàishēn Hóngzàn 在犙弘贊 (1612–1686) at the Dǐnghúshān 鼎湖山 Qìngyún sì 慶雲寺. Hào Huìgōng 慧弓; secondary hào Shíjiàn 石箭 (“Stone-Arrow”). Lay surname Zhāng 張, given-name Míngdá 明達. Died on Kāngxī 15 (1676 or early 1677), aged 43.
Kāixiòng’s principal surviving work is his collaborative jì 記 (supplementary-record annotation) on Hóngzàn’s commentary KR6q0132 Wéishān jǐngcè jù shì jì 溈山警策句釋記 (X63 n1240) — including the kē wén 科文 (topical outline) structuring the commentary. The master-disciple collaboration (Hóngzàn supplying the primary jù shì exposition, Kāixiòng the jì records) is characteristic of the late-imperial scholastic-commentarial tradition.
Works in the Kanripo corpus:
- KR6q0132 《溈山警策句釋記》 — collaborative jì 記 with his teacher Hóngzàn.
- KR6q0484 《南海寶象林慧弓詗禪師語錄》 6 juan, Jiāxīng Canon J35 B336 — his own yǔlù from the Nánhǎi Bǎoxiànglín 南海寶象林 (Guǎngdōng) abbacy, recorded by fǎsì Chuányī 傳一 děng lù.
Per DILA A001382: birth 1634; death Kāngxī 15 (1676/7), aged 43.

A different mid-seventeenth-century Cáodòng Chán monk of the same name 開詗, in the Shòuchāng Wúmíng Huìjīng 壽昌無明慧經 sub-line — a fǎsūn 法孫 (dharma-grandson/dharma-descendant) of Xuěguān Zhìyín 雪關智誾 (1585–1637). Editor (biān 編) of KR6q0418 《雪關禪師語錄》 (Jiāxīng Canon J27 B198), where the juan-head signature line reads “fǎsūn Kāixuàn biān 法孫開詗編”. This Kāixuàn is to be distinguished from the Huìgōng Kāixuàn (1634–1676) above: the two are separate contemporaries working in different Cáodòng sub-lineages (Shòuchāng at Bóshān / Yíngshān versus the Dǐnghú 鼎湖 / Yúnmén line at Qìngyúnsì). The Kāixuàn at KR6q0418 was presumably active in the 1640s editing his dharma-grandfather Zhìyín’s recorded sayings before and/or after Huáng Duānbó’s 1646 death (since the Huáng tǎmíng is included in the compiled volume). Native place, lay surname, and precise lifedates unrecovered.
