The transliteration Āmójiā 阿謨伽 (= Sanskrit Amogha, “Unfailing”) is one of the recorded alternate Chinese names of the Tang-period Tantric master Amoghavajra (不空, 705–774; full transliteration Āmùqūbázhéluó 阿目佉跋折羅, abbreviated A-mó-jiā = Amogha- without the -vajra element). Some Xùzàngjīng-only Esoteric ritual texts (including the present Mìmì yàoshù fǎ 祕密要術法 KR6j0226) are catalogued under this name rather than the more common 不空 — likely reflecting a manuscript-line transmission distinct from the Taishō recension.

The DILA authority does not assign a separate id to 阿謨伽 as a person, treating it as an alternate name of A000095 (不空). For corpus-level cataloguing in the present knowledgebase, however, since the Kanripo catalog meta records the translator name as 阿謨伽, this entry preserves the catalog form. For the full biographical treatment see 不空.
