Mid-Qīng (Jiā-qìng-era) Buddhist layman of GǔMǐn 古閩 (Fújiàn), formal name Chén Yùpiān 陳玉篇, zì Cúnwú 存吾 (under which he typically signs his Buddhist works), sobriquet Báiyún shānrén 白雲山人 (“White-Cloud Mountain-Dweller”). Local xiāng jìnshì (regional jìn-shì-equivalent). Lifedates unrecorded. Compiled the two-juan Jīngāng jīng chǎnshuō 金剛經闡說 (KR6c0096, X25 no. 508) with self-preface dated 嘉慶二十一年秋七月上浣 = autumn 1816; the work was reprinted with an additional preface by Hóng Shòuchūn 洪壽椿 of Táiyáng (Taiwan) dated 同治六年丁卯梅夏 = early summer 1867, marking it as one of the earlier Vajracchedikā commentaries to circulate substantially in Taiwan.
