Late-Qīng physician of Xiāngxī 湘西 (western Húnán), courtesy name 陶普 Táopǔ. From his own preface (sixth month of Guāngxù 5 / 己卯 / 1879, signed at the 酒泉公廨 Jiǔquán yamen), began mùyóu 幕遊 itinerant medical-advisory service in the Qīnghǎi corridor in Guāngxù chūyuán (1875), encountered a báihóu epidemic in Huángzhōng 湟中 in 1876, and subsequently practised in 甘泉 and 酒泉. Augmented 張紹修’s diphtheria tracts with named-master secret prescriptions, an acupuncture-needle protocol (including a recipe for forging and tempering a needle from horse-bit iron), and prognostic rules; his additions form the second half of KR3em031 Báihóu jiéyào hébiān.
