Kameda Bōsai 龜田鵬齋 (also Kameda Hōsai; given name 長興 Chōkō; 1752–1826), Edo-period Japanese Confucian scholar, calligrapher, and kǎozhèng-philological teacher. Founder of the Kameda line of philological-Confucian instruction in Edo. Trained the young 尾臺榕堂 Odai Yōdō in classical-Confucian textual scholarship, alongside Odai’s medical study under the Yoshimasu Tōdō kohōha lineage. A leading figure of late-Edo eclectic Confucian scholarship rejecting both Sōrai 徂徠 and SōngXué orthodoxies.
