Liǎoyuán 了圓 (lifedates unknown, fl. mid-Míng), Míng-dynasty Buddhist monk, self-designated Guānshí shāmén 觀識沙門 (“monk of contemplative discernment”). According to the editorial preface of the Fǎhuá língyàn zhuàn and the catalog records, he extracted the most striking miracle-narratives from three earlier Lotus-cult collections — 惠詳’s 10-juan Hóngzàn Fǎhuá zhuàn (T2067 = KR6r0066), 宗曉’s 4-juan Fǎhuá xiànyìng lù 法華現應錄 (= KR6r0071 Fǎhuájīng xiǎnyìng lù), and the 4-juan 真淨國師 Zhēnjìngguóshī’s Hǎidōng chuánhóng lù 海東傳弘錄 — and edited them into the 2-juan 《法華靈驗傳》 Fǎhuá língyàn zhuàn (KR6r0070, X78 no. 1539).
