Early-Qīng (Kāng-xī-era) Buddhist layman of Chángshuǐ 長水 (Jiāxīng region, Zhèjiāng), Shìshí 士石. Lifedates unrecorded. Trained in Confucian classics in youth, turned to Buddhist study in old age. Compiled Jīngāng jīng zhù zhèngé 金剛經註正訛 (KR6c0077, X25 no. 489), a one-juan critical-edition commentary that huìzuǎn zhū zhù, shān fán jiǎn yào, jiě yì zhèngé 彚纂諸註,刪繁簡要,解義正譌 (“compendizes the commentaries, prunes the diffuse to keep the essential, explains the meanings and rectifies the errors”). Also composed a Bānruò xīnjīng zhùshū 般若心經註疏 in the Kāngxī era. Both works belong to the early-Qīng lay-Buddhist kǎozhèng-tinged commentary genre.
