Rèn Déjiǎn 任德儉

Rèn Déjiǎn 任德儉, native of Jùnshuǐ 浚水 (location uncertain; possibly in northern Hénan or Héběi), Ming dynasty compiler. He is recorded only from the postface to the Zhōngmì yuánběn 中秘元本 (KR3k0071) written by 呂柟: “右中秘元本二十卷,為浚水任德儉所輯” — “The Zhōngmì yuánběn in 20 juan was compiled by Rèn Déjiǎn of Jùnshuǐ.” No further biographical record for this person has been located in CBDB, the Míng shǐ, or other standard sources. He compiled the classified literary-phrase reference Zhōngmì yuánběn from material found in or attributed to the imperial library (中秘) during the 正德 reign (1505–21).
