Lǚ Nán 呂柟 (1479–1542), zì Zhòngmù 仲木, hào Jīngyě 涇野, posthumously Wénjiǎn 文簡, was a leading Mid-Míng Lǐxué official of Gāolíng 高陵 (Shǎnxī, Wèinán region). Zhuàngyuán (top jìnshì) of Zhèngdé wùchén (1508); appointed Hànlín xiūzhuàn; rose to Nánjīng Lǐbù yòu shìláng. His learning derives from his master Xuē Jìngzhī 薛敬之 (a direct disciple of Xuē Xuān, KR3a0079 author) — making Lǚ a third-generation HéDōng xuépài figure. At Nánjīng he held lecture-sessions jointly with Zhàn Ruòshuǐ 湛若水 (KR3a0094 author, the gānquán school founder) and Zōu Shǒuyì 鄒守益 (a major Wáng Yángmíng disciple) — making him one of the key Mid-Míng intersection-figures between the HéDōng / Gānquán / Yáojiāng lines. He was a sharp critic of Wáng Yángmíng’s liáng zhī doctrine. Major works: the Jīngyězǐ nèi piān 涇野子內篇 (KR3a0087, 27 juan, his comprehensive yǔlù); plus the four “chāo shì” series — Zhōuzǐ chāo shì 周子抄釋 (KR3a0089), Zhāngzǐ chāo shì 張子抄釋 (KR3a0090), ÈrChéngzǐ chāo shì 二程子抄釋 (KR3a0091), Zhūzǐ chāo shì 朱子抄釋 (KR3a0092) — abridged-and-glossed selections from the four foundational Northern-Sòng daoxué sources.
