Wèiqīnggōng (“Honourable Sir Wèiqīng”, fl. Jiāqìng era), Shàngyì 上邑 physician, father of 胡青崑 Hú Qīngkūn; received the traumatology manuscript from his uncle 啟萬公 Qǐwàngōng, copied it into three (“collections”) under the title Huíshēng, and so produced the proximate exemplar that Hú Qīngkūn printed in 1856 as KR3el016 Diēdǎ sǔnshāng huíshēng jí. Abandoned the kējǔ examinations to take up medicine on the maxim “if one cannot be a good minister, one can be a good physician to benefit the world.” Personal name not recoverable from the surviving preface, which refers to him only by this respect-title.
