Early-Qīng Yogācāra scholar-monk, dharma-heir of 性起 Miàodé Xìngqǐ. Lifedates unrecorded. Otherwise unattested except as one of the disciples (along with others) who recorded the master’s oral exposition of the Bā shí guījǔ sòng 八識規矩頌, producing KR6n0140 Bā shí guījǔ lùnyì 八識規矩論義 (X55n0898; “Xìngqǐ doctrinally explicating, Shànzhāng et al. recording”). The function-marker děng lù 等錄 (“[Shànzhāng] and others recording”) in the Kanripo meta indicates that the work is a collaborative recension of the master’s lectures rather than the work of a single editor.
