Yuándǐng 圓頂, zì Róngchè 融徹 (“Penetrating Fusion”). LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Qíbái Défù 德富 (1628–1690). Lifedates unknown — served his master at Yùquánsì for over forty years. Native of Shǔnán 蜀南.
Formation. Tonsured young by Qíbái at Yùquánsì. Took full ordination at age 20. Served his master directly under his chuífú 椎拂 (staff and whisk) for “over forty winters and summers.” One day on hearing the Fēngfān 風幡 (wind-flag) story, broke open the lacquer-bucket — “as if pushing aside clouds to see the sun, the great earth flat-sunken — and at once knew the matter from countless eons before is no different from now.”
Abbacy. Pánlóngshān Yùquán chánsì 蟠龍山玉泉禪寺 (succeeded his teacher).
Disciples (six). Yùruì Míngshèng 玥睿明盛, Lùruì Míngcōng 璐睿明聰, Míngxiū Jìjìng 明修寂鏡, Gǔlín Lóngyù 古林隆玉, Yìngyuán Pǔwén 應緣普聞, Bīnruì Míngqìng 璸睿明慶.
