孫應科

Sūn Yìngkē ( Yànzhī 彥之, fl. early 19th c., b. ca. 1777 — sixty suì in Dàoguāng 16 = 1836), Gāoyóu 高郵 (Jiāngsū) literatus and convalescent-editor of KR3el010 Diēsǔn miàofāng. In the summer of Dàoguāng 13 / guǐsì 癸巳 (1833) he broke his left upper arm and travelled south in search of treatment; cured by the methods of the Yìyuǎn Zhēnrén 異遠真人 manuscript, he assembled the editio princeps of 1836, with Hú Quán 胡泉 underwriting the printing costs and Liú Bǎonán 劉寶楠 contributing a sixtieth-birthday poem. He was thus the key figure in the public diffusion of the Buddhist-monastic shāngkē tradition out of three centuries of manuscript circulation.
