宋真宗

Sòng Zhēnzōng 宋真宗 (personal name Zhào Héng 趙恆; 968–1022, r. 997–1022), third emperor of the Northern Sòng. He continued his father 宋太宗 Tàizōng’s patronage of the imperial Translation Academy 譯經院 / 傳法院, sponsoring the translations of 施護 Shīhù (Dānapāla), 法護 Fǎhù, 惟淨 Wéijìng and others; also promoted the Daoist Lingbao 靈寶 tradition through the Tiānshū 天書 affair and the construction of the Yùqīng Zhāoyīng-gōng 玉清昭應宮.
