Zhāng Yòuxué 張幼學 (fl. early 17th cent.; CBDB floruit 1653 — but the 1619 supplementation date in the fánlì of the Shāntáng sìkǎo places his active period earlier), hào Yíbó 儀伯, was the grandson-in-law (sūnxù) of 彭大翼 and a tàixué (Imperial Academy) student. After Péng’s death, Zhāng undertook the recovery and augmentation of Péng’s massive late-Míng lèishū, the Shāntáng sìkǎo 山堂肆考 (KR3k0052): he tracked down dispersed material, corrected corruptions introduced by commercial pirates, and added the 12-juǎn Bǔyí supplement, finishing in Wànlì jǐwèi (1619). His own postscript-note (xiǎo jì 小記), appended to the work, gives the principal contemporary account of the rescue operation; he describes coordinating the project with his brothers-in-law Bóxīn 伯馨 and Bósháo 伯韶 over several months. CBDB id 80403.
