Péng Dàyì 彭大翼 (fl. Wànlì 萬曆, floruit 1595 per CBDB), Yúnjǔ 雲舉, alternate name Yīhè 一鶴, native of Yángzhōu 揚州. He spent twenty-odd years as the top-ranked zhūshēng (district student) without ever passing the jǔrén examination; later held an unspecified provincial appointment in the LiǎngGuǎng region before retiring to the coast. His sole substantial work, the Shāntáng sìkǎo 山堂肆考 (KR3k0052) — a 228-juǎn late-Míng general lèishū — occupied him for more than thirty years and was completed in 1595; it was subsequently augmented with a 12-juǎn Bǔyí by his grandson-in-law 張幼學 in 1619.
