Xìngjué 性玨, zì Zhuófēng 卓峰 (“Standing Peak”, post-fùfǎ name), early style Língyī 靈一 (“Sole Numinous”); often referred to as Zhuófēng Jué 卓峰玨. Línjì 大慧 派 dharma-heir of Héngshān Dēngbǐng 燈炳 (1611–1680) in the Sìchuān Jùyún 聚雲 sub-line — see KR6q0554. Born 明天啟乙丑七月十九日丑時 = 1625-08-21 Gregorian; died 乙丑秋 = 1685 autumn (DILA narrow range: 1685-02-03 to 1686-01-23), age 61. Native of Zhōngzhōu 忠州 (Sìchuān); lay surname Chéng 成.
Formation. At 15 took tonsure under Xiàosōng 笑松, then studied scripture and Vinaya under Sōngyùn 松蘊教典師. Hearing of Héngshān 衡老人’s reputation, traveled to guīlǐ (formally take refuge); the master “valued him as a vessel” and gave him the early name Língyī. Trained twenty-some years and received final fùfǎ, on which occasion the name Zhuófēng was bestowed.
Abbacy. Zhōngzhōu Qìngyún chánsì 忠州慶雲禪寺 (the same seat his teacher Dēngbǐng had held).
Disciple. Zōngwèi 宗位 (sole fǎsì; lead compiler of multiple J39 yǔlù — both KR6q0554 and KR6q0559).
