Northern Sòng Yúnmén-school Chán master in the Xuědòu 雪竇 lineage descended from 雪竇重顯 Xuědòu Chóngxiǎn (980–1052). Named in the opening verse of 大隱 Dàyǐn’s Dà bōrě jīng guānfǎ (KR6c0227) as the third-generation Xuědòu descendant, whose monastic engagement with the Mahāprajñāpāramitā tradition fed forward into Dàyǐn’s fourth-generation guān-fǎ compilation.
